Put your short attention span to work

Multitasking has become simply part of the way most of us live our lives. When I’m at work I’ve got two monitors going and my phone picking up various communications. There’s my work email running in the background, my personal email, IM, Twitter (how did I end up with three Twitter accounts?!), Facebook, IRC, Word, GIMP, PowerPoint — it’s a big mess of things demanding my attention, and it’s up to me to prioritize and address things as necessary. I imagine it’s much the same for you.

Usually I would argue that this hectic, multi-input way of living is probably not good for us, but after today I realize it’s all just training us to better play Multitask. How many little fiddly tasks can YOU do at once?
